| Ten dancers from York
County Ballet Company attended Atlanta BalletFest March
13-15 2009. The York County Ballet Company presented the
Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker at the festival on
March 14. The following students were accepted by audition into summer intensive programs: ° Jessica Miller will attend the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive in New York City. ° Hannah Williams and Lucy Russell will attend American Ballet Theatre's summer intensive program in Austin, Texas. ° Caroline Slough will attend North Carolina Dance Theatre's summer intensive program in Charlotte, North Carolina. ° Lauren Reising will attend the University of South Carolina's Summer Intensive. The following dancers will attend the ST-Arts program held at Winthrop University: Baylee Brown, Ashley Lumpkin, Holly Rowland, Grayson Waataja, and Brooke Brabham. Corey Drennon and Hannah Ennis attended SC Governor's School for the Arts Summer Intensive 2009. |
